A foot powered treadle guillotine is a type of paper cutter that is powered by a foot pedal rather than electricity. To use a foot powered treadle guillotine, follow these steps:
Place the paper to be cut on the cutting surface of the guillotine, with the edge to be cut aligned with the cutting edge of the blade.
Adjust the blade to the desired cutting position by using the blade adjustment knob or lever.
Make sure that the foot pedal is in the up position, then press down on the pedal with your foot to raise the blade.
Use the handle to guide the blade down and through the paper, making sure to keep your hands away from the blade.
Release the pedal to lower the blade.
Repeat the process as necessary to make multiple cuts.
Always be mindful of the blade and keep it clean and oiled for smooth operation.
Always use the machine in a safe environment, keeping yourself and others away from the cutting zone.
It is important to note that Treadle Guillotine are meant for cutting paper, if you want to cut other materials you should use appropriate machine for that. Also, It is not recommended to use this machine for cutting a large number of sheets, it is best suited for small jobs only.
