Warranty Terms

24-Month / 2000-Hour Limited Warranty

1. Warranty Coverage

STANDARD Machine Tools provides a 24-Month Limited Warranty, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions.

This warranty is valid for:

  • Twenty-four (24) months, or
  • Two thousand (2000) operating hours,

Whichever occurs first.

The 2000-hour limit reflects typical single-shift use (approximately one shift per day over two years).

If the machine operates multiple shifts per day, the time period will reduce proportionally. The total coverage remains capped at 2000 operational hours.

This Warranty applies to the original end-user purchaser.

2. What Is Covered

This Warranty guarantees the machine against faulty workmanship or defective materials.

If a component fails due to a manufacturing defect during the Warranty Period, STANDARD will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the defective component, or
  • Supply a replacement part.

Covered components include factory-installed:

  • Structural castings and frame integrity
  • Spindle assemblies (manufacturing defects only)
  • Ballscrews and linear guideways (manufacturing defects only)
  • Servo motors and drives
  • Electrical cabinet components
  • Hydraulic and lubrication systems
  • Control system hardware supplied with the machine

Replacement parts may be new or refurbished and are covered for the remainder of the original Warranty Period.

3. Labor, Travel & Service

This Limited Warranty covers replacement of defective parts only.

It does not include:

  • Technician labor
  • Travel expenses
  • On-site service costs
  • Shipping costs

On-site service, labor coverage, and response-time commitments are available separately under a STANDARD Service Level Agreement (SLA).

STANDARD remains the technical support coordinator and single point of contact for all warranty matters.

4. Warranty Conditions

This Warranty applies only if:

  • The machine has been installed, operated, and maintained according to STANDARD documentation and accepted industry practices.
  • Proper lubrication schedules have been followed.
  • Electrical supply meets specified voltage and phase requirements.
  • The defect is reported within the Warranty Period.
  • The machine has not been subjected to misuse, crash damage, neglect, unauthorized modification, or improper maintenance.
  • The serial number remains intact and legible.

5. Warranty Exclusions

This Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear items (belts, wipers, filters, seals, bearings subject to wear, consumables).
  • Tooling, cutting tools, and workholding.
  • Damage caused by crashes, improper programming, or operator error.
  • Electrical damage caused by unstable or improper power supply.
  • Corrosion, environmental exposure, or lack of maintenance.
  • Damage caused by fire, flooding, lightning, or other force majeure events.
  • Loss of production, downtime, or consequential damages.

6. Operating Hour Determination

Operating hours are determined by:

  • Machine hour meter readings, or
  • CNC control runtime records.

If the machine is operated in multi-shift production, the 2000-hour limit may be reached before 24 calendar months.

Coverage expires immediately upon reaching 2000 total operating hours, regardless of calendar time.
