The STANDARD VD-2500 is a heavy-duty double column vertical lathe (VTL) built for stable, accurate machining of large-diameter, high-mass parts. With a Ø2500 mm max turning diameter, Ø2250 mm worktable, up to 10 tons table load, and a rigid dual-column structure, it delivers dependable performance for roughing and finishing operations on rings, housings, flanges, and large rotating components.
Note: Final CNC/control package, guarding level, chip management, and accuracy class are configured per customer requirement.
VD-2500 is designed around the fundamentals that matter on large parts: rigidity, torque, stability, and repeatability. The double-column structure supports consistent cutting engagement across wide diameters, while the vertical layout keeps workholding simple and safe for heavy parts. The broad spindle speed range supports both heavy roughing and controlled finishing, and the dual tool post architecture allows practical setups that reduce handling and improve throughput.
Large parts are easier to indicate and measure when gravity works with you. The table supports heavy workpieces up to 10T, and the machine’s layout accommodates crane loading and robust fixturing. Feeds and travel ranges are designed for practical daily turning work on oversized components.
A VTL platform reduces certain failure modes common in horizontal setups on very large workpieces (less reliance on tailstock support and long part sag management). The machine is built around proven heavy-duty mechanisms and service access typical of this class, with straightforward motor-driven beam and slide systems.
VD-2500 is a strategic capacity upgrade: it brings in-house control over large-part machining, reduces dependency on outsourcing, and lowers lead times for critical repairs and production jobs. It is especially attractive for businesses that routinely machine large flanges, rings, housings, and casings and need predictable delivery.
